Had a lovely day at Squealers. Little bit of eatery

and a lot of stitchery of one kind or another……
Fern has two more of her gorgeous “Timeless Tulips” blocks stitched

and she started on another

I’m between projects – a couple need borders which need a machine and I couldn’t decide what one “on-the-go” to bring, so I opted to start on the scraps in my hexie box

Helen worked on the last of her “Go-Go Wheels” blocks

Karen is making “fillers” for the sides of her “Oranges and Lemons“

Maree started on another “Dogwood” block

and Sue was crocheting

and she’d received some lovely mail; last time Sue was in the UK visiting her Mum she put a favourite jumper in the wash only to have it drastically shrink! She was still heartbroken when a friend called by later that day and offered to make her now unusable jumper into a bag. Sue agreed, somewhat skeptically as she couldn’t see how it would work – it was that or throw the jumper away – and this is the result

Lined and all! What a result! Sue is delighted and we were all very impressed. Amazing what can be done with a little lateral thought.

Wish I could have been there!!
That’s a very successful bag from the jumper – not surprised you were so impressed!
Oh that pink and black tulip block is making me swoon! Love it so much. Might have to go pull fabrics for a new quilt start after seeing that! lol And the bag made out of the naughty jumper is very sweet. What a wonderful friend.:)
