Earlier this week I went out to lunch with a friend and two of her neighbours who were unknown to me before the lunch, but soon became friends during this entertaining luncheon!
We ventured to Lilies on Brougham in leafy Eltham. Located in an unassuming, suburban street, the cafe is housed in what looks like a home, and contains an area at the front dedicated to beautiful gift wares and clothing. Through to the back of the premise is the dining area which looks out over a nursery, and is the most delightful setting.
The food was delicious (actually very difficult to choose from the menu – I wanted one of everything!!)
The water glasses and cutlery were available to buy in the gift area. No, I resisted!
After having our fill of food, we ambled through the nursery. Can you see the duck/goose in the top right photo? He was making quite a noise!
I thought Anne might enjoy the rusty implements!
A very pleasant lunch indeed!
Happy stitching

That place is truly dreamy! One of those very special perfect environments for relaxing and taking a deep breath!
Thanks for the tip, I’ll have to check it out 🙂
Looks like a great place to eat and stroll around!!! I can’t believe you didnt buy the eiffel tower glass!!!!
Haven’t been there for quite a while. Lovely food and yes, I have made some purchases from there. Might have to visit again soon 😉
Is this another one for next year’s itinerary!!?? I would want everything on the menu too. And thanks for the rusty mention!!
Have a great weekend. xx
One of my favourite and often frequented places to visit. Can always find great presents.
