Ummm…..another not so good month for me. I did make two bunny rugs for a friend’s yet-to-be-born baby, crocheting the edges and really enjoying that
and she’s delighted with them.
I’m also addicted to knitting my mitred square blanket….
…it’s growing!
And another new is this, which I’m calling “Taking Liberties” (thank you Anne for the great name!) which I started cutting out and stitching at Kallista, doing a heap more cutting out last Friday which was cold and miserable and perfect for the task.
and still absolutely NOTHING from “The List”!!!! Ah well, there’s always next year month……

Love the bunny rugs you made, with the darker yarn. The edging on the first is gorgeous too- did you find a pattern or cleverly invent?
I wish you could do a video on the shell stitch around the blankets. I can never make mine come out half that nice! Just beautiful. I love your blog! ps What’s “the list”?

You can not do everything. The rugs are gorgeous. I love the hedgehog (I Googled for the translation. Is this right?) fabric. Sometimes the hedgehog scratches around in our garden. So cute!🤗

Did you blanket stitch the edges of the baby blankets or did you poke holes? I love doing those edge stitches and have purchases prepared items to crochet but haven’t made any from scratch. I do have a rotary blade that is supposed to poke holes for the crochet hook but haven’t tried it yet. Love the hedgehogs!
I have the same questions as Pat. Can you share a little about the blanket edging? I also have a rotary blade that is supposed to poke the holes but it didn’t work too well the only time I tried to do that. Would be interested in your process. Thanks so much!
I had forgotten about crocheting around the edges of blankets. SO cute and such a nice gift.
Lovely wee baby blankets Meredith, love the crochet edges they make such a difference. Was so happy to see those wee knitted mitred squares, I have been looking for that pTtern for a long time, they make marvellous oven clothes knitted with thick cotton thread, a friend in Alaska made me one years and years ago and it is still as good as new, they just wash in the washing machine.
Fabulous little baby blankets, and love the look of ‘Taking Liberties’, and the name! This month has not had much ticking off for me either, hardly any stitching, but I have had a busy woolly time whilst being away in the UK. My newborn granddaughter will be snuggly during the upcoming London winter! I may get something done later this month, or I could crash in a heap, after organising our local quilt show this coming weekend!😉 Happy stitching!
