Cast and Crew
The Golfer:: My loving husband of some 20 years (yes, I was a child bride!), who likes nothing better than flogging a little white ball around the green fairways (and hopefully not getting into the rough) of his local golf course.
Ma & Pa Kettles:: My parents who live in the country, fondly known as The Kettles. Sadly my gorgeous Dad died in 2015, so it’s just Mum now.
MyDearFIL & MIL:: The Golfer’s Dad & Mum who have now both passed away.
LittleBigBrother:: My brother who is younger than me, but at 6 foot, definitely bigger than me!!
DocSisterInLaw:: LittleBigBrother’s wife (who has a Doctorate!)
Poppet:: My beautiful niece, and daughter of LittleBigBrother and DocSisterInLaw
Bliss
(blis) n. 1. perfect happiness; serene joy
Obviously the collective noun for a group of stitchers!!

~ we had a few coffees and brekkies out and also a delicious lunch of pizza at Jetty Pizza on a day out last week after a very pleasant stroll around Sorrento, inspecting shops and The Golfer buying a new … Continue reading
On my walk
Thursday morning as I was getting ready to head out to meet MyWalkingFriend, the house felt a little cool. I checked my weather app and saw it was only 9 degrees outside – it’s been a long time since it … Continue reading
Silly Billy
I’ve been a bit of a goose, a silly billy, and an idiot and done this to myself out on my walk, tripping over one of those rotten furry acorn things ….. I also twisted both ankles, scraped my knuckles … Continue reading
Park walk
I haven’t been down to the Park for a walk for a long time – who knows why? – but ventured down last Sunday. It dawned a clear but chilly morning – not that I was up with the dawn, … Continue reading
Around here….
~ This week started with some truly lovely Spring days. I was beginning to think we were doomed to have grey skies for the rest of the year. Sunday was just perfect; blue skies, loads of sunshine, warm but with … Continue reading
Bush walk
I’ve had a hankering for, amongst a legion list of other things, a walk in the countryside. Suddenly, Sunday week ago I realised a pretty good substitute was on my doorstep. There’s a big park nearby, within walking distance, with … Continue reading
On my walks
My goodness there’s lots to see at the moment on my walks…….here’s just a sampling MyWalkingFriend and I have chosen a new walk for ourselves, both wanting something/somewhere different to our normal BC walk. So we’re traveling streets we used … Continue reading
On my walks
I’ve started regular walks with my walking friend again; she’s no longer able to work and lives on her own so she’s keen to see people. We walk 2 days a week (suitably masked, sanitised and keeping a health distance) … Continue reading
Calm, and a walk
Thank you so much for your supportive and encouraging comments on my last post. It’s good to know I’m not alone feeling as I do. But given that so many of you expressed similar feelings, I reached out to my … Continue reading
Lockdown blues
For some reason I’m finding this lockdown harder to cope with than the first. Perhaps it’s that we had a taste of freedom – not that we took advantage of that in any great way, but any freedoms have now … Continue reading
