Cast and Crew
The Golfer:: My loving husband of some 20 years (yes, I was a child bride!), who likes nothing better than flogging a little white ball around the green fairways (and hopefully not getting into the rough) of his local golf course.
Ma & Pa Kettles:: My parents who live in the country, fondly known as The Kettles. Sadly my gorgeous Dad died in 2015, so it’s just Mum now.
MyDearFIL & MIL:: The Golfer’s Dad & Mum who have now both passed away.
LittleBigBrother:: My brother who is younger than me, but at 6 foot, definitely bigger than me!!
DocSisterInLaw:: LittleBigBrother’s wife (who has a Doctorate!)
Poppet:: My beautiful niece, and daughter of LittleBigBrother and DocSisterInLaw

A special visit – part 1 the venue
My goodness! It’s either feast or famine in the way of posts here lately, isn’t it? There’s been nothing for a while, but you’ll get your fill over the next few days. My friend Anne has been out from England, … Continue reading
An outing or two
At the end of the week before last I had a couple of days out with friends – the camera was forgotten on both trips so you’ll have to make do with the purchases and not the food, sorry! On … Continue reading
Quilt show
On Friday Helen and I ventured into town by train to go to the Melbourne Craft and Quilt Fair. It was an amazingly mild July day in Melbourne town; except for the trees you wouldn’t think it was a Winter’s … Continue reading
Our Sewjourn weekend – part 1
I do love our annual Sewjourn weekend; we were trying to work out how many years it is that we’ve been going and I think it’s probably about 12 or 13, and we still love it! Friday morning we set … Continue reading
Friday road trip
There’s nothin’ like a road trip with quilty friends, is there?! Karen, Helen and I decided that last Friday would be good for a road trip (mostly because I’d seen that Treehouse Textiles were having a sale that day!). The … Continue reading
Impromptu sewing
Had a text message from Miss Helen on Friday asking if I’d like a trip to a quilt shop. No need to ask me twice for that sort of adventure! We arranged to meet at Gail B‘s then back to … Continue reading
A day in town
Miss Helen arrived at my place bright and early on Friday morning and we were both fizzing with excitement about our day. A train and tram ride later we were at the NGV and in the queue for the Dior … Continue reading
