Cast and Crew
The Golfer:: My loving husband of some 20 years (yes, I was a child bride!), who likes nothing better than flogging a little white ball around the green fairways (and hopefully not getting into the rough) of his local golf course.
Ma & Pa Kettles:: My parents who live in the country, fondly known as The Kettles. Sadly my gorgeous Dad died in 2015, so it’s just Mum now.
MyDearFIL & MIL:: The Golfer’s Dad & Mum who have now both passed away.
LittleBigBrother:: My brother who is younger than me, but at 6 foot, definitely bigger than me!!
DocSisterInLaw:: LittleBigBrother’s wife (who has a Doctorate!)
Poppet:: My beautiful niece, and daughter of LittleBigBrother and DocSisterInLaw
Bliss
(blis) n. 1. perfect happiness; serene joy
Obviously the collective noun for a group of stitchers!!

Another Dashing Hues
Yesterday I received an email from my Cousin J, who, like me, spent the weekend sewing machine bound (in fact Mr P became quite concerned with Cousin J’s obsessiveness – we’re not surprised, are we??!!). Look what my very clever … Continue reading
Colour Discoveries
Have you started playing with some Dashing Hues? I learnt quite a bit playing with my fabrics for this quilt. Some blocks were bold and turned out just as I expected some were quite different to my expectations some were … Continue reading

Last week I purchased the latest copy of American Patchwork and Quilting. This is one of the quilting magazines I regularly get at the newsagent; apart from enjoying the quilts, there’s usually a tip or two to be picked up. … Continue reading
What’s in a Colour?
We’ve been enjoying some unseasonably warm weather over the last week; a perfect opportunity to wash some between-season, lightweight knits and get them outside on a clothes horse to dry. As I folded them up to put them away, it … Continue reading
