I realise November is fast fading away, but……
:: a drive to Sorrento for fish and chips at the beach. Too windy to walk as it was whipping up the sand.
:: lunch out with friends
:: an afternoon tea at a friend’s home to celebrate two birthdays. I baked a sponge and decorated it with flowers from the garden
and it was consumed along with other treats
both birthday girls received a bunch of hydrangeas from me as well as a gift
and Maree immediately put hers in a vase to enjoy
Helen treated us each to a special plate
and it would have been rude not to use it for afternoon tea (loving the mug Maree put out for me!)
(and just another gratuitous pic of the nasturtiums – ‘cos I’ve never grown them before!)
:: dinner out for The Golfer’s birthday (November is a busy month for birthdays!)
then off to the movies to see the new James Bond flick. Thoroughly enjoyed it at the new Readings Cinema at Brickworks. Small, but patrons were well spaced, we wore our masks and luxuriated in reclining seats. Very nice indeed.
:: bees are enjoying the hydrangeas too
:: and I’m so pleased with the deck pots
