The second class at the quilt shop was a little bigger and a lot busier!
Sue has finished the quilt we started together earlier in the year

and she wanted to know how to machine quilt, so we had a lesson in basting and she did a little machine quilting

then she had some questions regarding a project bag (from a pattern of mine from long ago)

Anne-Marie has almost finished the first of three of these quilts, just the binding to stitch down

she was going to machine quilt, but tried hand quilting instead and did a great job

Anne-Maree has finished her Mrs Billings Coverlet using my outer border idea and her own corner idea and its a stunner!

she’s also finished this EPP star project and we decided on hand quilting the centre and machine quilting the rest

Sue M and I played with the corners for her applique border

Lois has picked up an EPP project from some time ago

Peggy has begun hand piecing some stars

Deirdre played with flying geese and also had a lesson in foundation piecing

and Jenny and I did some more improv work with her Celtic fabric, which is starting to involve some complex maths work!

So lovely to see these students again!

Oh thank you for the photos !!
Your students are talented !!
and even better to see all the lovely projects….so delightful and inspiring!
Good to hear of you all gathering together again, and playing with all those lovely patterns.
So glad you can all get together again! Lots of great projects happening. That “Mrs Billings” is A. Mazing!
Ooh, that Billings quilt is so beautiful! The last border is just brilliant. Love the applique border corners on the brighter quilt too. I’m such a sucker for simple flowers and vine work!
