Morning
Leanne has finished her “Floristic” quilt (one of my template sets) and it’s a stunner! She cleverly used left over floral pieces to make a scrappy border (mine has a one fabric border). I do love the secondary pattern that is created where the blocks join.

and now she’s started using my “Fossick” template set and her collection of basket doileys to make a quilt, sashing with the tone-on-tone floral and using tiny embroidered baskets (cut from doileys) as the cornerstones

Carole made up her cushion for her grand daughter – job done!

and worked on more of her “Fossick” blocks for another grand daughter

I gave Linda a lesson on pieced circles

while admiring her mug bag (it’s bring your own mug at the moment)

and Margaret popped in between customers to show us her “Carpenter’s Wheel” quilt top where she’s used sashing and cornerstones to create a 9-patch between the blocks – so clever!

Afternoon
In the afternoon Linda worked on her hour glass blocks for Judy’s “Vermont Summer Medallion”

We looked at two different options for Frances’ next round of her Diamond TAW

Frances also made a start on a new quilt the “June Dyson Coverlet“

We looked at options for Cheryl’s next Diamond TAW round too

and at home she’s been hard at work on her “I Spy” quilt sewing lots of blocks into rows

It was lovely to welcome Helen back and we basted a quilt that she’d sewn during lockdown

and she then started on the big-stitch hand quilting (after a reminder lesson)

and great to see Cathy back too and also with a quilt she’d made during lockdown which needs binding

Luuuv the floristic and fossick quilts!! Everyone has been really busy!
It’s really lovely to see you all getting back in to it, and even more, to see all those lovely fabrics!
Everything looks so soft and spring like. Delightful! I am ready for Spring. I especially love Leann’s doily quilt. I’m going to try to dig out my doilies!
