The second group at the quilt shop arrived very keen and raring to go! I had joked with Sharon and Alison the week before about having to give them each a number, and when I arrived Sharon was handing out numbered hexagons! It actually worked very well (there were 10 in class). So here we go….
Paula has finished her “Oakhampton” quilt top and I helped her choose some backing and binding

then in class she was making bright log cabin blocks – quite a contrast!

Anne-Maree had made a table runner using a cheater fabric

and with some panels left over was keen to see if she could make a round one…….to be continued!

You may remember Jenny was making a table runner with some printed Celtic design blocks from a fabric?

Well, she’s decided she wants to make it into a bed quilt using the fabrics above as well as the additional pre-printed block fabric, so she made a start by cutting out the blocks….also to be continued

choosing to cut more of this at home, Jenny was stitching little stars in class

Pearl finished one of her “Melba Kaleidoscope” blocks

and prepped another

Andrea is hoping she has enough of her little stars made and has started sewing them to a plain block ready to join into rows.

Ann-Marie was machine sewing her blocks

Deirdre and I devised a plan for her left over Kaffe Fassett fabrics

Sue has joined the “In Full Bloom” BOM and was working on one of the applique blocks

Lois was hand piecing pretty pink stars

and Adrienne is hand piecing School House blocks

Lots of exciting things happening (fingers crossed we can be back at class very shortly).
