It was Lovely to be Back At Class for the first time this (and most of last) year! This first show and tell is from the class at the quilt shop. There were lots of quilts to catch up with before class even started.
Jenny had finished her “Tribute to Mrs Williams” quilt

and in class Jenny was appliqueing borders for a different quilt

Rosalie has finished the top of this runner and we discussed how she will machine quilt it

she’s also finished this quilt top “Whirligig” and we discussed the machine quilting of it too

in class Rosalie started a new quilt, and after choosing some fabrics together she started cutting out some pieces

Jennifer has been working on her “Mrs Billings Coverlet”

and in class she prepped the background for the centre and started appliqueing it on and we chose the first border

Val has been industrious finishing this quilt top (it’s a Di Ford-Hall one, but I can’t remember the name, sorry)

and has progressed her “Mrs Billings” too, using a different centre

and we chose a border fabric

and Val started on the corners of the next round

Denise has been working hard on her “June Dyson Coverlet”

and in class she worked on the last border

Frances has been hard at work too completing the middle section of this quilt ready for the applique “trees”

her “Bloom” quilt top

which you may notice has one “empty” block which Frances says is for 2020 as nothing happened! Love it!!

she also brought in her Lilly quilt which just needs binding to finish it

so in class she cut out the binding and also the next round for her Diamond TAW

All in all a busy morning and quite a lot achieved.

This class is held at the quilt shop, eltham
A lot achieved, indeed! Well done to all. Good to be back, I’ll bet!
How wonderful to be able to have your class meeting once again. It appears no one slacked off in the absence of getting together. Great job, everyone.
Such beautiful projects and it helps me to see that others have more than one quilt in process. Sometimes I think I should finish something instead of starting something new but there are so many lovely projects to be done!
They are all beautiful and stunning quilts! Great to see you back with the sewing class!
