As I wait impatiently for my sewing mojo to return with gusto, I’ve been endeavouring to try to encouraged it along…….
I finished the first part of Judy Newman’s “Vermont Summer Medallion” before the mojo disappeared

and started on the next section, but it’s just not doing it for me……
I began prepping “Blooms” last November and dug out some fabrics and have prepped the rest. Nice mindless tracing and cutting.

even spent time making the centres, again nice mindless prep work

so they’re now all together in a basket for when the urge hits

I’ve even tried a bit of embroidery – and yes! I’ve had my nails done!

Patience is a virtue……so I’m told.

Oh I am glad it’s not just me that has lost their mojo…….it will come back hopefully in the new year!
I have sewing mojo in my head but havenβt been able to get myself to actually thread a needle. Instead, I keep casting on donation hats to keep my hands busy.
The summer medallion looks gorgeous! Ummmm, when you look for your mojo, can u keep an eye out for mine too? – they must have gone on holiday together! πππ
You and I are in the same boat! I have no desire, no creativity, no nothing! We have been in a quarantine in place since September 2019 starting with the cataract surgeries – and it just continued on – I guess I will get my mind right soon! But cannot get enthused anymore! I want to get out and go to a Casino, we are thinking of just getting in the Navigator and driving to the Coast for a day – take a snack along and then come home – at least it would be better than sitting in the Den in the evening and sitting in the Studio all day – I know that I should be more thankful as we are very spoiled. I do hope that you perk up – as I want to… but… Stay safe and hope all is well. Hugs
Well, as the year turns, maybe the mojo will return!
Love the nails!! I am still working on UFOs, waiting for inspiration for a new project!!
Your nails are so pretty, and the medallion center is just so so lovely. I have so much time on my hands and wonder why I haven’t accomplished more, and I think it’s the general anxiety and sadness, the worry and exhaustion of 2020….. 2021 will be better surely!
Your first project is so pretty! Sometimes the best bet for me is to take a deep dive into the scraps and just do a mindless project. Mostly it just takes time! We’re rooting for you!:)
I love that orange flower material, so cheery.
