On my walks

It seems all my creative mojo is on the blink but I’m making an effort to get something out to you today…….

Until the last couple of days the weather has been lovely (we’re currently back in the depths of Winter and I’m seriously considering putting the heating on! It’s December, supposed to be Summer!) and with the early morning light it’s been easy to get up to go walking.

Here’s a bit of what I’ve seen.

This grass is growing in a raised fence/garden area in the neighbourhood. The pale lemon “flowers” (?) are tiny and contrast nicely with the green of the grass

stunning two-tone iris

love the early morning light shining on these leaves and changing their colour from that deep purple to burnished gold

this is the white carpet rose in our garden

and the red one too

I’ve dead headed both and am hoping for another flowering soon

As I walk through the park there’s a uni which neighbours part of the path and I see this sculpture in varying lights……and it looks to me like a pelican with that long bill and another to the left half turned away…..

but closer up it’s actually…..

Hmmm, I don’t know what they’re supposed to be either!

Looks like a lovely walk. Very sensual sculpture, so rhythmic. Where is it?

I hope the walking and noticing will bring back some of your creative energies

  3. I hope the creative mojo returns. I thought the sculptures looked vaguely like a cross between a mathematical structure and soft whippy icecream, but The Mathematician is not convinced!

Looks like your December walk was a pretty way to clear your mind.

Thank you for taking the time to comment - reading them makes my day!
