Iso-a-longs

There are several people who have started “Isolation-a-Longs” and I’ve joined in with a couple. I know there are heaps of them, but these are just a few…….

~ Emma from Treehouse Textiles is hosting a Sunday Stitching Sampler

I’ve made up my background

and chosen fabrics and prepped my flowers

and I’m all ready for the next section tomorrow!

~ While browsing Instagram I came across Sarah Edgar’s Pretty Fabrics and Trims and she’s suggested “sew a little happiness every day” (if you decided to do this or follow Sarah, use #sewalittlehappinesseveryday). Sarah’s is mostly embroidery, I think mine will be a mix of applique and embroidery.

I’ve drawn up my grid (not exactly the same as Sarah’s) and prepped my first block

and stitched it down

Haven’t decided yet what thread colour to use to mark off the grids; my blog-friend Carole suggested charcoal and I’m quite taken with that notion.

~ Robyn from “The Strawberry Thief” is have a Liberty hexie sewalong using 1″ or 2″ papers. Still toying with this one. I started prepping some hexies a few weeks ago…….think I probably have enough to do!! Looks like great fun though.

Do you think you have enough to keep you busy?? Have you joined any iso-a-longs? It’s always fun to start something new, isn’t it?

Stay safe, Lovelies

  1. You have got to be kidding me! I’ve invented enough work for myself out of my own head without looking for suggestions!!

There’s been plenty of projects new and old to keep me busy. Love what you’ve been doing.

I haven’t joined any of the sewalongs, as I decided to concentrate (for the moment) on the UFO pile, but I am enjoying seeing what everyone is doing!
