Friday stitching

Urgh! Friday was such a hot and humid day – everything felt damp. So with the air conditioner in the car on full boar we headed out to Helen’s for Friday stitching.

She had made a lovely fresh Thai Chicken Salad for our lunch

with refreshing watermelon and cantaloupe for afters

Remember Maree’s tin she showed us a little while ago?

Well, now she’s lined it! Love the ladybird buttons.

Maree has finished making all her “Go-Go Wheels” blocks, heaving a sigh of relief that she’d calculated correctly with the green check – it was all cut from an apron she’d picked up in the op shop as it was the “perfect” green. She laid them out for us to see

then I stacked them up for her so could start sewing them into rows

I finished the last of my “Gateaux” blocks and laid them out

Karen stitched more of her “Oranges and Lemons

and Helen was ploughing on with her “Go-Go Wheels

During the afternoon it got very dark and then the thunderstorms and rain hit! It was a wet drive home but at least the air had cleared a little.
