A day (or two) out

A little while ago Miss Helen and I ventured down the coast to Mornington and had a delightful visit to Treehouse Textiles.  As always we were warmly welcomed and spent a delicious hour or so playing with fabrics and chatting to the lovely girls there.  As always the shop look fabulous and there are sooooo many gorgeous fabrics to choose from – very easy to go a bit mad there! These seem to have found their way into Helen’s stashand some of each of these might have made their way to my homeWe called into Lilo for lunch then took a new quilt of mine for a photo shoot at the beach.  We had great fun trying to work out the best way to photograph it, got lots of sand in our shoes and caused a stir with a dog which wanted to jump over the quilt but was kindly restrained by its inquisitive owner.  All will be revealed at the end of November, but here’s a sneak peek!It was a stunning Spring day and when I dropped Helen back at her home, the blossoms on her tree had started to come out.

A week later the tree was fully out and glorious to behold, even in overcast conditions. That day, after our running around, we had a decadent afternoon tea Absolutely scrumptious (and no dinner that night!).

Somehow, I seem to always read your posts when I’m HUNGRY! (now). Doesn’t food always look over the top when someone else creates it? Also nice to see blossoms as our trees are shedding their glorious colors. Susan, Boston
