Class show and tell

Morning

Carylin had finished the quilt she was cutting out for the previous weekadding in some appliqued dinosaurs to the borders in class.  (This is available as a kit)then she finished mitreing the corners of this centreand then she set up another block for her Christmas mice quilt (she was the over-achiever for the day!)and Carole has the four borders on the centre so we started to choose sets for another round of blocks

Afternoon

Two students stayed all day:  Linda spent the morning cutting out her striped pieces, then started to stitch her blocks in the afternoonand Lyn made more blocks for her new quiltthen stitched (nearly) two blocks for another new quiltCheryl has had some great op-shop finds with these gorgeous aprons (thanks to Marg for being the perfect model!) this highly desirable (we all wanted it!) embroidered clotha sweet little quiltand a coveted basketand in class Cheryl stitched more hexagonsJane did a layout for her “Sweet Sundayand, yippee!, started stitching it togetherHelen sewed some hexies onto the drawstrings of her little dilly bagthen did some more appliqueTineke appliqued her hexies into placeand Fernanda worked on more “BloomsMeredithe x
