Weekend stitching

Went to stitching on Friday and Saturday but was a bit slack with the ol’ camera, so I’ll put the two days together.

Helen did very well to bake a loaf one handed (from a packet mix) and get the afternoon tea togetherand she floored me by choosing solids for a new quilt she plans to make once her shoulder is out of the sling and she can stitch again – this from the girl who “doesn’t do solids”!At Squealers we had delicious afternoon teaMiss E very nearly finished her elephant – he shan’t remain headless for long!Fern made more “Bloom” blocksand we had the pleasure of the company of Miss 11 who demonstrated her prowess as a fabulous artist, drawing this fox for her brotherand this bird for meshe was drawing an animal for each of us until her baby sister had a vomit oops and Miss S decided it was time to take all her babies home!Isn’t she a talented young girl?  I’m very impressed.  I told Miss 11 that I’m hanging onto my bird for when she’s famous and will sell it for a fortune!!
