Class show and tell

It was Sue E’s birthday in a few days and Jo brought in a lemon tart to celebrateDidn’t take long for it to be cut into!We started doing a layout for Carole using this pattern as our starting pointwhich is from this bookSue E had laid out her next set of blocks for “Bessie Creek Road” BOMand she cut the corner triangles in class and finished up one last block from the previous monthJo started making woolly bits houses and trees for her Christmas wall hangingMarilyn stitched 3 more blocks for her “Sweet Sundayand Colette added the next section to her applique blocks and machine quilted them, then I gave her a hand quilting lesson for her to hand quilt around the applique.

Lyn stayed all day, and we finally, after all the trials and tribulations, got her quilt top together – yippee!!We then measured up and added her bordersCheryl had finished her chook block bookand worked on more “Sugar Plum” blocksTineke tackled a shopping bag for a musical friendThe other Lyn finished her first ever quilt – yay!!  Machine pieced and machine quilted all by LynInspired by Lyn, other Lyn then decided she’d like to make a Christmas table runner, so I quickly drafted up a star block for her, fabrics chosen, and underway!Frances was after a baby quilt, so we did some improv and made a start….Cathie wanted something different to one of the blocks in her quilt, so I’d drafted up a honey-bee block for her and she came to class with it all set – just the applique to doand Fernanda is making flowers for her “Bloom” quilt.Meredithe x
