Here and Now | April 2019

I was so pleased to see Sarah’s “Here and Now” post appear in my inbox the other day.  I’ve missed reading her and the other participants “doings” for the month and writing about my own too.  So here we go with my April Here and Now……

Gardened this morning and was delighted to find these late bloomers on my hydrangea bushes.  Now inside for constant viewing.I’ve read these novels over the last couple of weeksSpent some time choosing Aurifil #12 threads to start quilting “Mid Century Modern Flowers”Autumn leaves are appearing on the treesand on the groundWent to AQC yesterday with friends on a fabulous Melbourne Autumn dayat the beautiful Old Exhibition BuildingsLoving // like Sarah, I’m glad that Daylight Saving time has ended.  It’s nice to be walking in the light again and not the near dark of dawn!

Eating // trying some new recipes, and still need to track down some of the yummy pork we ate at Daylesford

Drinking // lots and lots of plain mineral water

Feeling // so happy that Autumn is here.  Loving the cooler nights and spectacular mild Melbourne Autumn days.  Although as we’re still having a few summer-type nights, I do have both Summer and Winter pj’s under my pillow and I carefully check the overnight temp to ensure I’m in the correct pj’s for a (hopefully) comfy full night’s slumber!

Making // sample blocks for new template sets to be released in November, and…..

Thinking // that I really need to be concentrating on hand quilting my “Mid Century Modern Flowers” as it need to be finished by May.

Dreaming // of cooler days over Easter and binge watching “Harry Potter” on Foxtel as they present all the movies one after the other – think I’ll get lots of stitching done then!

Linking up with Sarah and don’t forget to check out what other people are doing too!

A lovely tale of April! Our weather is still mixed, beautiful and sunny one day, frosty the next. Ooooh, I would love a Harry Potter binge to sit and hand quilt!!

  4. I was excited to see here and now back again too! How lovely is the Autumn weather? Your hydrangeas are beautiful ❤️

  5. Thank you for joining in Here & Now again, Meredithe. Sorry that I’m so late in popping by!!
I hope you had a relaxing Easter long weekend. Autumn is the best season, isn’t it? And I’m glad to hear I’m not the only one swapping seasonal PJ’s depending on the weather 😉

    Have a lovely week,
