Friday stitching

Sewing was at mine last Friday and I prepared this for afternoon teaI was still at the sewing machine when Helen arrived trying to finish something.  I long exhort my students to keep their heads up while sewing to save neck strain and several of them have bought a “Lap App“.  Given that I should practice what I preach, I ordered one (and when it arrived I told The Golfer that this was his birthday present to me!).

I wasn’t thrilled with the cover, so I spent Friday morning making a new one from the free pattern that comes with the Lap App, finishing it while Helen chatted to me.and loving it – the cover and the lap app!  I worked on more of the border of the (very) old quilt top I’m trying to finishFern made more of her blocks  (“Pot Pourri” by Rae Telfer)Karen is addicted loving her Clam Shellsand Helen tested a new template set for me.
