Hi Meredith. Wot a way to knit pretty sox. Wow. I am four tenths through making my 1000 hearts. All prepped to the stage of stuffing and sewing up the side seams. My boys and grandchildren think i only sit at the latge dining room table and make them. Never sutting more than 1/2 to 3/4 hour at a time then choof off & do something else. Love making them. They are so pretty.

First I would like to tell you how much I enjoyed your use of “discombobulated”! My grandfather used that term a lot and I haven’t heard it in years. He was from Nova Scotia, Canada. And secondly, if I could knit like you do perhaps I would knit socks when I am in a dither. I find hand applique and or quilting to be my “go to” relaxer and I try to have some at the ready at all times. Thanks for sharing!

Wish I could knit socks like you. You have the best sock drawer. When I’m in a dither, I usually want to snack. I should learn to knit instead!

  6. Those are pretty socks. I hope that knitting that pair helped you!

  7. Curl up with a good book until my brain comes back!

I have quite a few basket weave knitted rugs, so that theme is repeated often. I just have to keep counting when knitting though as I have varied the pattern often. They are mainly made with BWM cotton, and two were gifts to my youngest two grandsons, who use them as ‘comforters’, and take them to bed too. I am chuffed that they love them so much.

Love your socks and the way they are you ‘go to’ project! Do you always use the same pattern, and is it relatively straightforward forward? I am still fine tuning my sock knitting and need to find a fab simple pattern and the right tension! 😉 Knitting/crochet often satisfy my creative urges when I’m in a dither! It must be the meditative process.

I have a pair of socks on my needles too! I need to get back to working on them. Yours are beautiful, I love your yarn. Hugs,

Love the socks….what a great way to become centred, creative and useful.
