Class show and tell

Morning

Sue E has finished the blocks for the first month of her “Bessie Creek Road” BOMand she worked on more of her “Welsh Quilt” blocks (pattern by everyday quilts)Leanne traced out 60 trianglesDenise is making progress on her “June Dyson” quiltJo has just one more row to complete the centre of her “Carousel” (pattern by everyday quilts)Carole discovered that she was using a border that had been cut to the wrong width!  Off came all the applique she’d done so she’s diligently working at putting them all back on again.  Commiserations, Carole!  And we chose some new flower fabrics tooand Marilyn whipped up these blocks in classwhich includes this embroidery that Marilyn did as a young girl

Afternoon

Lyn stayed all day and put together the two extra table runners she is making and even got to quilt one of themJane had her baby quilt top finishedso she made up a backing and together we basted it ready for Jane to learn hand quilting at her next lessonHelen brought along her finished block book that she started in class last time and she worked on another “Sweet Sunday” blockthe other Lyn stitched more of her blocks togetherFernanda had a sock knitting lessonand Cathie and I chose some fabrics for a new quilt! Meredithe x

    A lovely quilt, the Bessie creek Road from Treehouse. And so is the vintage Sampler from Margaret Mew. Beautiful fabrics did Cathie choose. 🤗

    oh, no I feel so sorry for Carole, all her hard work having to be undone and redone 😦
    Love all the fabrics for the Vintage Sampler, I look forward to seeing how they are all used.
