Did I tell you that I’m doing an extra class at the quilt shop? So for last week there are two class show and tell posts. (It’s been a bit busy with Mum stuff so I might be sporadic for a while with posts!).
This extra class is with the students I used to teach a few years ago on a Wednesday, plus a few ring-ins!, and it was lovely to see them again and catch up. So excited to see what they’re doing…….
Deirdre has been given these fabulous Kaffe prints, so she spent a bit of time pondering their best usethen she had a refresher on how to inset triangles
Sue M is onto the last of her borders and we chose the fabrics for the last row of flowers
Lois had a lesson on broderie perse and picked it up really well
Peggy is trying hand work for the first time and started by tracing out her shapes onto freezer paper
Anne-Maree has started the applique on her centre block
Paula was putting rows of half-square triangles together
and Pearl is hand piecing these blocks

New students, new names. All beginners or with some exercises?
I’m looking forward to seeing what happens to those gorgeous Kaffe prints. Hope your Mum is continuing to do well in her new place.
All that Kaffe fabric makes me want to go shopping for some brighter fabrics!
It’s just as well our Miss Helen wasn’t there, or some of those Kaffe fabrics might have been pinched by her!!
All beautiful work! Especially the last one – the hand piecing!
How fun to see what everyone is working on! Love the purple and green and every single project is beautiful! Very inspirational post!!
