Class show and tell

This show and tell is from the class at Sewn and Quilted.

Morning

Jo stitched up another of her “Carousel” blocks (everyday quilts)Carole cut the border for her quilt (directional fabric and had to be joined!) and started adding it onSue E’s quilt was back from quilting and in class she worked more on her final borderand Denise was cutting more triangles, and to relieve the boredom, did a little retail therapy

Afternoon

Four students stayed all day;  Linda had this fabulous bag to show us that she’d made (“Park Lane” by Monica Poole)and she spent the day hand quilting, giving depth to her leavesLyn had left over strips and fabrics from her table runner, so has decided to start on anotherFernanda prepped more “Potpourri” (by Rae Telfer) blocks and stitched a couple up tooand Carylin spent the day doing broderie perseWith the other afternoon students, Tineke did more embroidery on her hexagonsCheryl worked on another of her “Pele Mele” blocksFrance prepped her backing and bagged out her “Frances” tableclothHelen stitched up more “Sweet Sunday” blocksand so did JaneMeredithe x

    Beautiful work all around – love that Dresden Plate quilt.

  2. What a talented group of sewers you are! All gorgeous projects but the Dresden quilt is fabulous – the bright yellow sashing is perfect.
