Class show and tell

Morning

Denise has had a change of heart with her fabrics for this new quilt and the centre now looks like thiswith the next round starting to be cut out tooMary joined us for the first time and I gave her a lesson in how to bind her quiltCarole’s worked hard and sewn another squares block together and in class she added the dragonflies to her applique blockTineke finished the scissor keep and stitched her sewing bag lining in placeSue W got the first border onto her quilt and prepped the secondand Carylin left before I could get a pic of her hexagons……12 more to go!

Afternoon

Four students stayed all day;  Lyn finished putting her little quilt togetherthen in the afternoon, basted it and started machine quiltingI helped Anita choose some combinations for blocks and she got them all cut outSue S had a refresher on applique and stitched more of her blocksand Lynda has gone crazy with her blocks having cut out a multitude and I helped her put some more sets togetherand with the other afternoon students, Jane had finished her latest blockand started prepping for the next oneFrances had found these very cute numbered/alphabetised pegsand with everything in strict order, she started sewing her blocks togetherHelen is making a table runner using my “Woodlands” pattern so we made a start on thatCheryl made more progress with her “Pele Mele” having a refresher on reverse applique and learning how to make “Perfect Circles”and Susan M stitched down her pretty mothsMeredithe x
