Class show and tell


Marilyn brought in some very special show and tell; she embroidered these doileys when she was just 14 and she crocheted the edging around the one on the left too!and she’s nearly finished all her blocksCarole has made the first of her squares blocksand she’s making all the bits for the applique blockwe sorted out where Jo is up to on her quiltand she’s been busy with Carousel blocks too (pattern by Sandra Boyle, Everyday Quilts)and I helped her choose another couple to be going on withSue W finished the last of her blocks and did a layoutand sewed it all together!Denise was making yo-yos (and did a little retail therapy)Sue E was cutting for her next borderand Carylin is going demented making more hexagons!


Two students stayed all day; Linda has been busy knitting to keep her head warm on walks (its a free pattern on Ravelry “Knit Nights Hat” and the flower was crocheted by Linda’s friend)Linda has the first of her house blocks nearly doneand we explored some new stitches for her woolly bits workSue S showed us her almost finished quilt top (the name of which escapes me just now)and she cut and prepped for her first block of “Sugar PlumTineke and I made a back for her cushionand she worked some more on  her EPP birdSue S joined us and continued the blocks she started with me in the “Woodlands” workshop the previous weekJane finished machining the binding on her DWRFrances put together more “Sweet Sunday” blocksHelen worked on “our” quilt, prepping and appliqueing another sectionand Cheryl just needs to take a few more stitches to finish her gorgeous bagMeredithe x

    Linda has made a nice Houses block. And Sue S.her almost finished quilt is gorgeous with the grid blocks on the intersections. So cute the bag with the appliqué bunny.🤗
