Class show and tell

and the last lot from this past week…….


Carole started on another block making and setting up the outer ring and the bowLeanne started joining her blocks together (this is the Mystery Quilt from Quiltmania – last year?)Jo spent the morning cutting, cutting, cuttingSue W made a start on her baby cot quilt with the fabrics she bought a few weeks agoMarilyn nearly finished another of her blocksand Anne-Maree and I experimented with different stitches for the circles around her applique pieces


Three students stayed all day; Carylin split her time between a few projects and I only got to snap this oneand she did have a little retail therapy too……Lyn laid on the black bias and stitched it all downand Fernanda made up a backing – she was just short of the amount required so we pieced an extra bit from the quilt top left overs – then we basted it and she’s all set to start hand quiltingand from the others, Cheryl was a little late to class having stopped off at an op shop and finding these beauties, so she was excused!and we basted a quilt for her and she’s going to do straight line machine piecingJane started on the next lot of blocks for her quilt cutting one just to startthen she started cutting out for the othersand Helen worked on another “Sweet Sunday” block and the “Sweet Sunday Dilly BagMeredithe x

    So much beautiful work.
    Thank you Meredithe for putting in the link so we can see the whole quilt the students are working on. It makes much more sense and we can see the attention to all the little details.
