Class show and tell

Morning

Marilyn is enjoying appliqueing her new blocksDenise has only 5 more blocks to make before we can start on a layout!hmm, make that 4 and a halfand there are new fabrics in the Sale Section at the shop, so Denise had a little peruse……..Carole has her flowers done and is now busy with bees, and I helped by drawing in their legs and feelersand she has a new box for it allSue E is gaining ground with her bordersAnne-Maree set up for some more appliqueand Sue W made more of her blocks

Afternoon

Three students stayed all day; we welcomed Lyn back from her holiday overseas (where the table mats were very well received) and she’s making the last (she hopes) of the table mats.  She’s become untrained while away and had it all packed up before I could grab a photo!Fernanda had a productive day hand piecing more blocks and making a little bag on the machine from this patternCarylin spent a fair bit of time looking at fabric and sale fabric……. and when she wasn’t contemplating future quilts, she managed to stitch a few blocksof the other students, Tineke has finished her quilt!!  She’s so delighted with it and has it hanging up at homeso she started something new!Frances stitched up some of the blocks she cut out the previous weekHelen made more “Sweet Sunday” blocksJane has the hang of these new blocks and completed quite a fewCheryl cut out for more of her “Sweet Sundayand we had another Jane come to the class and together we had a lesson on joining little diamond pieces into starsMeredithe x
