Class show and tell

Morning

Denise made us some Anzac biscuits – very yummy!and it was tin day with this one from Deniseand this from Carole(both ladies carefully checked their belongings before leaving class!)

Jo is making great progress with her “Square Dance” (pattern by Everyday Quilts)Sue E has the centre block done for her “Hedgerowand cut and prepped the next borderSue W has finished her BOM “Bird Walk” and put it in for quiltingand spent the morning choosing patterns and fabrics for a quilt for her daughterand one for herself which she’ll buy next time

Marilyn finished the corners of her “Welsh Quilt” (pattern by Everyday Quilts) and chose a backing and left it to be basted – she’s going to learn Big Stitch Hand Quilting, Yay!Denise cut and prepped more EPPAnne-Maree had a lesson in tiny stemsand Carole appliqued her Queen Bee

Afternoon

Linda stayed all day and she has finished her “Umbrella Quilt”and another gorgeous bag and was stitching down the tree on a new project “Birdsville” (the birds will go on later)Jane cut and started stitching for more blocks like this one that she finished during the weekFernanda started a new quilt and we had to choose fabrics for itand several other people just may have bought some (or all) of the above too (who me??  how did you guess??!!)

Carylin had a little splurge tooand appliqued another block or twoTineke has finished the hand quilting across the top of her quilt and started down the one sideFrances cut and made some more pieces for her blocksHelen prepped more blocks for her “Sweet Sundayand Cheryl placed and started stitching the ring in the centre of her “Frances” clothBusy, busy, busy!

    Such beautiful work all around….but really love Sue E’s fabrics on Hedgerow. I think I may need to start this quilt. Your purchase of those sweet florals are great, love them all.

    You and your students have done a lot of work. The “Frances cloth” of Cheryl becomes gorgeous. Cheryl and you bought really a lot of fabrics. The one with the little tulips on your right stack I also have. I will use that in a new project ” Had je me maar” with which I will start in mid-May.

  7. All that progress, shopping, and Anzac biscuits too! A treat, for sure!
