Friday stitching

Just three of us on Friday and we met at Helen’s, with yummy nibbles for lunch and the weirdest looking grapes we’ve ever seen! While solving the problems of the world, I showed the girls my latest, a kit that I “discovered” while looking for something else and thought I could finish.  It didn’t take long to make the rest of the blocks and stitch them together, particularly because it’s only a table runnerand now there’s some embroidery to doThere’s supposed to be one of these in each of the twelve rows but I might just do every second row…….or every third row……

Karen has started something “new” too, which she also found while looking for something else (as you do!).  These pieces were already cut out and prepped, so all she needs to do is sew them up……and she didand Helen is back on her diamonds – there can’t be many more to stitch……Meredithe x

I’ve seen those grapes here. They don’t look appealing to me. They remind me of cocoons of some butterfly. How did they taste? Lovely hand work.

The Sweet fabrics of Helen, oh, I love them. And your stitcheries look good.🤗

  4. It’s amazing how you can end up finding oddities and leftovers when you are looking for something else entirely, isn’t it!

Pretty fabrics. Bizarre sized grapes but nothing wrong with them – they made a talking point first, that’s all!
