Helen, Sue and I had a fun day on Friday, tootling up the freeway to Millrose to see their Liberty exhibition. As always the exhibits were beautifully displayed, the staff having turned the shop upside down and inside out to make a stunning presentation of Liberty, Liberty and a bit more Liberty. (Forgot the camera, so these are phone pics – apologies for the quality)
There were little things Liberty
As well as lots of quilts, cleverly gated off with Liberty bunting
I didn’t take pics of all the quilts (it got a bit crowded!), but here are some
And from our own GJ a beautiful hand appliquéd, hand pieced and hand quilted quilt, all in Liberty
We did take a little detour home via Gisborne to visit Patch n Quilt; Sue and Helen both had little(!) bags to bring back (please note – I was very restrained.
only because I’ve visited there twice in the last month!)
Thoroughly enjoyed the exhibition, thank you to Sue and all the staff, and congratulations to everyone who put in an exhibit – amazing work!
