Two students stayed all day;  Lyn worked hard all day prepping her third table matFernanda has finished her “Dancing Dollies” topand wanted to use up her left overs so we devised a scheme for a pieced backing and she only had to buy one piece of fabric.  Show you more when it’s together.Helen put on the last borders for her “Friendship Star” quiltand chose a backing and it’s ready for quilting nowFrances continued with her scallopsJane put the borders on her block and started prepping the centreTineke basted her “Wallflower” quilt (forgot to get a pic of that) so it’s ready for some big stitch quilting, and she started on another of her new blocksand Cheryl’s had a few problems with her animal blocks, which we narrowed down to using different machines (the one in class and hers at home).  We felt a bit like that monkey as we worked towards a solution!!But a little unpicking and stitching all on the same machine should solve the issue.

Hi Meredithe, I love seeing all the projects but the ballerina one caught my eye. I know a little girl who would have loved that design !!! Thanks for sharing everyone’s work x

Just like Fernanda, I used some left overs of the Dollies for the backing and I used a part of a duvet cover from my granddaughter Isa. I will show you the end of this month.

Lots of quilts are coming together and ready for quilting. It’s been fun following many of these from the beginning.

  4. My sympathy for all those wrinkled brows. Good to know you’ve got it sorted out!
