Last Saturday was our Squealers Day and there was soooo much yummy foodand would you believe I partook only of the dip and veggies.  It’s true! (I’ve had a downfall since though!)

Lots of lovely work happening too.  Karen is loving her embroidery with variegated leaves and I talked her into using grey for her stems, not something she’d normally countenance but I think much nicer than brown or black or a dark green.and look at the gorgeous clock Karen received from a sibling for Christmas!Helen is back on the applique band wagonMiss E had another treasure to show from her grandmother’s collectionand she’s managed a little more on her stitchingI gave Andrea a lesson on hand piecing and didn’t she do well – just look at those perfect corners!Miss F did some hand quiltingand I joined up some petalsand this, my Dear Anne, is a photo just for you that Helen MADE me take from your dear friend Helen!Apparently Helen’s Mum had one just the same when Helen was a little girl.  H found this recently at an op shop and HAD to buy it!

Beautiful work and beautiful food! Love your Liberty petals, paper pieced? Is this for the little quilt that has the crocheted edge?

  5. Oh, Ms M, How amazing. Looking at that kitty cat tray, I remember somewhere in my deeeep distant past someone had one of those – maybe in my friend’s house, or maybe an aunt’s house; who knows. But I hadn’t given it a thought until I saw that picture. It’s amazing what you store without knowing.
