Class Show and Tell

Classes started back last week.  Yes, a whole week ago!  February has started with a BANG and I’m way behind the eight ball, but I shall endeavour to catch up.


Jo came back to class to be greeted with her quilt for her sister back from quiltingand she was working on more corner blocksSue W has had a busy time making this gorgeous box at Summer School her daughters gave her these books (unbidden!) for ChristmasSue decided to unpick, remake and make more of these blocks for a bigger quiltand with a new baby for a friend on the horizon, started this in classCarole is working on more “Saigon” blocksLeanne is appliqueingand Sue E and I are solving a slight dilemma!


Three students stayed all day.  Fernanda has also had a busy Summer and is on a bag fix at the moment making all of theseand getting the next borders onto her “Dancing Dollies” quiltwhich we chose the next border for in classFernanda is also starting “French Market Medallion” and worked on the applique piecesand we chose some border arrangements tooLinda has her quilt back from being basted, all ready now for hand quiltingand she’s made 7 ‘brolly blocks and worked on another in classand Lyn finished her second table mat, just the hand stitching to completeAnd the other afternoon girls?  Well, Frances has her “Aunts’ Quilt” top doneHelen has her star blocks together and we chose some bordersand she’s been hand quiltingJane nearly has another block finishedTineke is starting a new quilt in solidsand Cheryl has more “Sweet Sunday” blocks finishedMore soon!

    You and your group are always making such beautiful quilts. Especially I love the blue fabric of the box and the blue fabric used for the appliqué French Market Medaillion. And then the Sweet Sunday, the umbrella’s en the star blocks……….. We all need more time. Fernanda is going fast with her Dollies. Complete different colors than I used, but gorgeous too 🤗.
