Here’s the final class show and tell for 2017!
Morning
Being our last day together for 2017, some of the students brought treats to shareSue W finished putting her Christmas quilt together
so we put together a backing from her left overs
and got it basted ready for quilting
Carole stitched another row of blocks
Marilyn worked on the last of her circles (and vowed it wouldn’t come back in pieces next year!)
Leanne has finished hand quilting another top (she’s really got the bug!) and we had a binding lesson
and Denise played with more yo-yos
Afternoon
Four students stayed all day.Β Cheryl worked on her “Sweet Sunday” blocksand chose a binding for a quilt back from quilting
Fernanda had fun with circles and squares
Linda appliqued
and Lyn made herself dizzy again stitching round, and round, and round all the bias on her second table mat
Frances is soooo close to finishing “Aunts”
and she has this sweet print for a “Sweet Sunday” block
Tineke and I had fun working on some different stitches for her stems
and she’s done lovely work on the flowers
and Helen did a bit of hand quilting, a bit of hand piecing, and a bit of shopping!
They’ll be back to bring you more in 2018!

I’m not sure I’ve commented here before as I’m
a fairly shy follower. I can’t let 2017 end, however, without letting you and your group know how much I’ve enjoyed watching you create one stunning piece after another throughout the year. I am in awe with every post, and wish you all a Merry Stitchmas. Looking forward to more beauty in 2018!
There’s just something about those circles and squares that are calling to me! May have to make some of my own!
Love all your posts. Best wishes to you all for a fantastic Christmas and New Year.
I’m very impressed – all those gorgeous treats, and you still made real progress on your projects, all of you!
Thanks so much for sharing your groups work over the year Meredithe itβs been interesting watching their talent develope in different areas and has been motivating so much at times Iβve been side tracked to try some of their skills, like Tinekeβs felt circles, Iβm making a Penny Rug and Iβve used some of her wee designs. Merry Christmas and again thanks for taking the time to share. Cheers Glenda
