Stitch Sisters

‘Twas the Stitch Sisters Christmas Party on Saturday, held this year at Rhonda’s home, where she had Christmas decs dotted around in amongst her usual gorgeous object d’artAs is our tradition, we each brought something to share for lunch and the table was soon laden with foodthen relaid for dessert, of course and, um, nibbles Very untraditionally, not a stitch was taken by any of us, but we did have show and tell with Helen finishing hand quilting another of her ufo’sand her current one is almost finishedand Maree is well underway with her hand quilting tooand we tried something different this year for our present giving, having a Kris Kringle, but drawing someone’s name so you know who you’re buying/making for.  I drew Miss V’s name and was soooo excited because I knew exactly what to make for her.  Our Miss V is a bit of a lizard and often complains of cold shoulders, so a capelet was the perfect present, with a big polo to keep her neck warm too, but still have free arm movementIt fits and she loves it!  And I received this beautiful scarf from Miss H – I don’t have a blue one in these shades so it’s a perfect addition to my scarf collection.Such a nice way to end our year of gatherings.
