Class show and tell

Morning

Sue W had made all her Christmas Tree blocksso she sashed them and started joining them to her tree fabricJo has finished her hexagon quilt topSue W bought some lovely fabrics (we just won’t talk about what she’s having to unpick – it’s too distressing)Denise started laying out her diamond borderCarole had a hand quilting lessonIt’s Linda’s birthday on Christmas Day and lovely Sue E brought her in a little cake to celebrate, so of course we lit the candle and sang Linda “Happy Birthday”!

Afternoon

Four students stayed all day, Linda obviously, and again we won’t talk about what she had to unpick, but it was soon rectified.  However, Linda did get one of her new blocks cut out Cheryl’s heart colourwash was back from quiltingand she made lots of blocks for her “Sweet Sunday” and did a little shopping tooIn the morning Fernanda made two pillow cases to go with the quilt she finished earlier in the yearand in the afternoon cut out more pieces for her blocksand Lyn quietly worked away all day at her new table mate getting all the pieces into placeJane brought in her block complete with centre and started embroidering the other woolly bits for itTineke had way too much fun laying out her flowers and leaves and cutting up stems for her projectFrances worked on her “Aunts’ Quilt” which should be closer to finished by next week, but also cut out a block for “Sweet Sundayand Helen was back with us and had a hand quilting lesson.Meredithe x
