Here and Now | November 2017

I’m joining in with Sarah at say, little hen for November’s Here and Now.

Much of October and the beginning of November was overcast, cold and dreary.  Looking across the family room the other night I was struck by how incongruous this scene was; the calendar said Spring, the flowers said Summer, the coat and scarf said Winter!

But now the weather has turned full circle and we’re basking in heat and sunshine, just when I’ve finished my cardi!!  Ah well, it will be something new to wear next year. The Golfer spotted this butterfly on our deck yesterday morning, such a handsome chap; I quickly snapped his pic before he flew away, but he actually stayed around for quite some time. The bees are loving the bottle brush which has burst into flower and the noise of their hum is quite loudand I’m delighted with the huge amount of flowers ready to bloom on the hydrangea plants – this is just one of four plantsLoving // sunshine – at last!
Eating // salads – finally!
Drinking // mineral water
Feeling // terrified that it’s November
Making // well, I should be making Christmas cake, but that seems so surreal
Thinking // of all the things that need doing before the end of the year
Dreaming // of long Summer days when everything is done and it’s “relax time”

I can’t believe it’s November either, where DID the year go? It’s very cliche to say it, I know, but really!

Lovely to see the glorious flower displays as the spring merges into summer and our gardens stretch! Such a welcome change to the hibernating winter months. Love your cardigan…and the colour is sublime! Yarn? Pattern etc? It’s all ready for the cooler months next year. 👏👏
