Class show and tell

Morning

Marilyn has made a great start on her “Welsh Quilt” (pattern by Sandra Boyle Everyday Quilts) cutting out lots and even making a block or twoJo is onto the setting triangles for her “I’m a Farmer’s Daughter” quiltSue E worked on the next block for the Matilda BOMSue W has finished another block for her “Bird Walk” BOMand set up an applique in class and started piecing the bits for the blockAfternoon

Linda stayed all day and brought some delicious ginger biscuits to shareIn the morning we played with the layout for her “Sweet Sunday” quilt and before I could turn around she had it all pinned on and packed up, so you’ll have to wait to see what we didand for her afternoon Linda has dug out from the depths a quilt she started with me many moons ago (we were trying to figure out how long ago) and discovered that she had 19 blocks and another cut out, so well worth finishing.  There is now a template set for this block, “Parsons GeeseTineke had some great show and tell – she’s finished her “Discovery” quilt!  And doesn’t it look fabulous.If you missed out on doing this Mystery quilt, you can now buy the booklet at Sewn and Quilted.  Tineke spent her afternoon tracing off and starting the embroidery for her Christmas runnerFernanda had show and tell too with this bag she made (from a pattern in her head!) for her daughter for Christmasand she set about setting up more “Dancing Dollies” applique blocksJane has all but one of these blocks finishedand started on the next section of her BOMHelen has also discovered a nearly finished quilt and together we added the final borders and started working on a pieced back with the left oversFrance made more rows of her baby quiltand Cheryl ploughed on with her colourwashMeredithe x
