Class show and tell

Morning

Leanne has finished her small version of “Carousel” (pattern by Sandra Boyle, Everyday Quilts)and is going to hand quilt it.  In the meantime she’s been working on some new blocks and we had a trial layoutworking out what else needs to be made, and Leanne cut more diamonds for itJo has done hers full size and it’s been handed over to be quilted, then the puffs will be addedSue E worked on her diamond borderDenise worked on her centresCarole on her bordersand Marilyn on her circles (instead of the puffs)Afternoon

Three students stayed all day; Lyn stitched and stitched and stitched her binding by handCarylin traced out and started on the embroidery for block 8 of 9and Linda is just the teensiest bit addicted to “Sweet Sunday“!  And Loving It!!Frances played with her combinations tooas did CherylJane has finished all her centre embroideries and started on making up the blocks finishing not onebut two of them, as well as cutting all the background fabrics for the remaining blocksand Fernanda made good progress on her niece’s quilt, cutting heaps and making up quite a few blocks in Drunkard’s Path.Busy day!!

    The Carousal quilts are lovely. Each blocks is constructed of do many different fabric pieces. Your students are getting an extensive fabric collection.
