Class show and tell

And now from the class at Sewn and Quilted.  Again, we were light on for numbers due to illness and travels so there was only a morning class this week.  (Best wishes for a speedy recovery to those who are ill, and happy travels for those away!)

Fernanda had her Block 2 of “Matilda” finishedwhich she brought along in her new block book!and during the morning, Fernanda cut out Block 3as did Sue EHelen had lots of lovely “Sweet Sunday” blocks to show usand she did a bit more applique on her other quiltCheryl had “Sweet Sunday” blocks to show toobut wait, there’s more!and Frances traced off the patterns for the side and corner triangles, and started on another of her applique blocks for her “Aunt’s Quilt

But the BIG news of the day was that Frances had entered two quilts into last weekend’s Victorian Quilters Guild Show at the Craft and Quilt Fair, the triangle one made for her niece

and her version of Sue Ambrose’s “Sweethearts” quilt which won first prize in the Traditional Two Person Amateur/Professional category!

We are all so delighted for Frances – a Blue Ribbon!!  (Photos shown with Frances’ permission)

Doesn’t get much better than that!
