Linda stayed all day, and had the finished baby quilt to show uscompleted the evening before the new babe was born, so perfect timingand in class Linda worked on her “Welsh Quilt” (pattern by Sandra Boyle, Everyday Quilts)Cheryl brought in a cloth that her Mum had embroideredLove it!  (and NO! it won’t get cut up – it’s too lovely and Cheryl wants to keep it to use)and, never having tried hand piecing before, we had a lesson in using templates and hand piecing, and Cheryl finished her first block for “Sweet Sunday“!Helen is going great guns with hers too, and cut out these blocksRemember Cathie buying those fabrics last week?  Well here’s the quilt!Just needs the borders before being quilted and bound, and as the border is directional, we cut them in class ready for Cathie to finish the quilt.and Tineke spent the afternoon putting on her binding. Its always a treat to see what happens in your classes. Cheryl’s mothers embroidery is beautiful!! So happy to hear that not to be cut up.

  2. I always enjoy photos from your classes. Today’s is no exception. Love the spotted fish swimming happily through the quilt, the super embroidered tablecloth (so happy to learn it will be used and not cut up!) and all the intricate piecing going on. No Morning Tea photos though. Are you all on a diet?

    Dear Meredithe

Can you tell me what quilt pattern Tineke is finishing with all the beautiful Dutch fabrics?

    Kindest regards
