Here and Now | March 2017

It’s supposed to be Autumn, but we’re have a prolonged stretch of over 30 degree days; thankfully the nights are cool.  Still no signs of Autumn on the leaves on the trees, although my poor Claret Ash is once again shedding leaves without turning them their burnished claret colour first.  I do wonder how much longer we will be able to keep it.  Yes, I’ve kept the water up to it this year and have even fed it with a liquid fertilizer (the pack said how much for “stressed large trees” which I figure it is); fingers crossed.

Joining in with Sarah at Say Little Hen for this March addition of Here and Now

Loving // the yellow tulips given to me by Cousin S when we met for a coffee the other day
Eating //  trying to stay on the straight and narrow!
Drinking //  too hot for anything other than mineral water
Feeling //  so satisfied with some gardening chores achieved over the long weekend
Making //  inroads on the last bit of “Saigon” having finally decided on the border
Thinking //  of all the things that need doing over the next few months – lists are required, me thinks!
Dreaming //  of much cooler Autumn days

What are you up to?  Join in with Sarah and others here (and see some great pics too!)

  1. Lists are certainly required – I’m going to a show on Friday, loads of things to try not to buy…!

  2. I’m sorry for your heat wave. If it will make you feel better, we are expecting 18″ of snow tomorrow. Spring is only 8 days away!

Something very pleasing about crossing things off lists. All those lovely flowers, your garden must be beautiful.

Beautiful tulips – what a lovely gift! I’m not sure whether our thermometer cracked 30C all “summer”. Hopefully you get a little respite soon. It’s a clear chilly morning here today – sending cool thoughts your way!

  5. Such pretty flowers! I do hope it cools down for you soon, it’s absolutely no fun when summer out stays her welcome.

Happy list making & thanks so much for joining in again!
