Saturday sew……er….eating!

Yesterday was my last group sewing day and final breakup for 2016.  The Stitch Sisters met at Kaye’s beautiful home, and we all keen to see the art work produced by Miss C after another year at uni.  We were not disappointed!02-dscn5195This is a painting, and while it looks like its been overlaid with doileys or stitching, it is in fact……paint!03-dscn5196Miss C was also asked to create something  with pieces diametrically opposed to each other; she chose to make a chandelier from water grates (bought at a closing down sale of a prominent hardware store) and old chandelier crystals (from various markets).  All she needs is for her electrician Dad to hang it for it, but as it weighs a tonne, he’s being a bit cautious about finding a main beam!04-dscn5197(Not the best photo, but it was heavy and awkward to hold and photography successfully – I’ll have another try when it’s up and working!)  Miss C is also painting landscapes05-dscn5199Miss C was also let loose on the Christmas decorating, and she’s gone to town!

When the clock struck 6.30 – what?? How did it get to be that late?? – the rest of us departed with fond farewells and seasons greetings.

More tomorrow Peeps!

Oh…..thank you for taking me along on your visit! I didn’t eat too much, did I???? LUV the painting and the chandelier is beyond gorgeous!!!! Our decorating is more on the “nil” side as we leave for our winter place right after Christmas. I’m going to HAVE to figure out a way to do some decorating next year after seeing the delightful images you posted!!!!!! Sending hugs……a bit frigid, though!!!….
