Class show and tell

Morning

Beth has finished the centre of her BOMThe border blocks now await, but in class Beth made more of her Elwood Rose blocksCarilyn has her first appliqué block done, bar the embroideryand in class she worked on anotherCarole has the first of her border blocks made, and we cut the backgrounds for the restMarilyn made more circlesJo made more of her blocksand Denise dutifully stitched more stems

Afternoon

Lyn stayed all day; she put the binding on her Christmas quilt, and I showed her how to attach a rod pocket tooFernanda and I contemplated our next moves with her quilt and we made some progress (I do love the Royal “we”; I direct, Fernanda sews!)Fernanda also showed us some embroidery stitched by her great grandmother which she’s going to incorporate into her next projectIt’s a table cloth, which is badly damaged in places, but lots is still very usable.

Frances is back onto her “Aunts’ QuiltJane finished her stars by hand, then machined them into their columnCathie also has a row finishedTineke tried her hand at wonky starsand I gave Joan a refresher on joining her quilt-as-you-go and rows together.Meredithe x

    Love the mice!! Fernanda’s quilt is going to be stunning. Cathie’s row looks amazing – it just shows you don’t have to have patterned fabrics to make an impact!
