Tuesday at the quilt shop

Well!!  Not happy, Jan! (That’s an Aussie saying from a very effective advertisement from years ago which has gone into Australian vernacular).  Yesterday I merely wished to update my “sock fetish” post on current sock progress ready for publishing today…….and it published straight away!!  Lucky you, two posts in one day.  So what was going to be tomorrow’s post is now going to be today’s.  Still with me?  Never mind, let’s move on shall we?

Today seven of us spent a delightful day at the quilt shopSharon and Alison spoilt us with a delicious apple and nut loafKim has nearly finished her Tunisian crochet blanket, using the leftover yarn for a dc border, joining as and whenand her finished hexies are growing (there just may have been a purchase of a background fabric for these too!)Heather is stitching a Christmas piece (please….not yet!!)Toni has this gorgeous rainbow of prepped hexiesNarelle is stitching a dog tooth borderAnn has this lovely old book………which is actually a sewing tin…..er, OK, originally a tin of tea, but tea rapidly disposed of, it becomes a a sewing tin!Amanda was stitching up an elephant (“Walking with Heffalumps” pattern by Rae Telfer); can you see her, with her luscious long eye lashes?and I was tracing and cutting, tracing and cutting, tracing and cutting….A satisfactory day all ’round, me thinks!

Isn’t it awful when a post publishes when you don’t want it to, but two wonderful posts from you in one day is a treat for us. I love the way you show us sewing storage.

What an enticing place to hang out for the day. The fabric choices for Natella’s dog tooth border are very nice.

Satisfactory indeed! In addition to all the great projects, it sounds like you all have a great community. What a treat to spend the day with friends and fabric!
