Class show and tell

Morning

Jo has finished her quilt top (“Briar Hill” by Susan Ambrose, Somerset Patchwork)and with her leftovers we cobbled together a backingJo has also been piecing segments of her “I’m a Farmer’s Daughter” blocks

Beth has finished the middle section of her new quiltand in class she worked on the border blocksBeth also has a new tin

We welcomed Marilyn back; she’s working on circlesand she has made a sweet little bagCarilyn has lots of pieced blocks made and in class she started on the appliqué blocksCarole is working on her appliqué blocks too after finishing the pieced squaresI worked out some block measurements for Sue W who then proceeded to make oneand then both blocksDenise started stitching another of her blocksAnd Sue E is so close to finished!

Afternoon

There were a few sickies from afternoon class – hope they’re feeling better soon.  Fernanda had made these blocks at homeand we played with quarter square triangles in classJane is onto the last few of her blocks for her “Sweethearts” quilt and Joan is valiantly stitching her sashings

    Once again, beautiful work all around. I may be just a little biased as I just finished piecing a very scrappy Drunkard’s Path with pretty much the same look as Beth’s. Is that part of the Sweetheart’s quilt? Thank you for posting so many beautiful photos, such inspiration.

    I’m still processing all that is in your post!!!! Amazing!!! I always love the fabric choices (and, of course, the piecing patterns!)…..the finishes always look so cozy and heirloom (even when the pattern is more contemporary!!!)….tons of talent there!!!!!! Hope the “sickies” are on the road to recovery!!!!!

    Been away for awhile but back to enjoy such a wonderful posting! Such lovely projects should help a little with such sad and fearful feelings reasonable people hold at this time! Needle and thread help!
