Monday stitching

Had a delightful day at Rae’s on Monday.  Just three of us, but gosh, we solved the problems of the world and set politics straight in at least two countries!

Despite the fact that we were a trio, Miss Rae fed us admirably (and she didn’t need to worry about dinner!)It’s such a joy to stitch in Rae’s sewing room surrounded by her beautiful quilts, gorgeous fabrics and fascinating bits and bobs; always so much to see and admireAnd yes, we did stitch while we ranted….er, talked.  Rae is steadily hand quilting this beautyCarolyn stitched more of her squares togetherand I cut from that second bag (that’s been at my feet for some time) for my project, and added to Carolyn’s stash of squares as I went. The day had started warm and windy but Carolyn and I had to don jackets and dodge rain drops as we made our way to our cars and home.

I’m sure Spring isn’t too far away……..

While reading that you set the world right politically, I am watching the tv talking about Trump becoming President. Have you seen the film Local Hero? There is a scene where two old chaps are chatting and one say to the other “strange times, strange times” ……. that says it all, I think!
Anyway lots of lovely projects and delicious food!!

  2. There’s an old Chinese curse – “May you live in interesting times”. 2016 certainly qualifies. Food and gorgeous fabrics are a most wonderful counterbalancing force..

Sounds like you had fun. Loved the fabrics very colorful.

Thank you for taking the time to comment - reading them makes my day!
