Clunes! – part 1

I’m at Clunes partaking in a fabulous four day sewing soujourn, Quiltessentially Clunes, organised by three amazing women, Christine, Judy and Rae.

GJ and I came up on Wednesday afternoon, with a little diversion to Ballarat (must remember to show you).

I’m just doing this as a quick post as my camera ran out of battery after the first pic yesterday!  And of course the charger was back at the house.  Camera charged overnight and I’ve taken a few pics of work achieved yesterday, and hope to have more for you to see after today.

We’re in the old Town Hall; a superb building, needing some major reno’s, but so charming and ambient.  Just look at the stage…….

The table at the front is full of raffle prize goodies!  Well not so full now as some raffle tickets were drawn yesterday and look what I won, made by Rae.  Just delighted!

We each received a goodie bag

And there’s trading tables, looking a little worse for wear after only one day!  Couldn’t get a pic of the second one as it’s currently being overrun by quilters – bargains galore!!

GJ has lots of her new blocks made

Lizzie is playing with woolly bits – surprise, surprise!

and I stitched down 12, yes 12, circles!

We’re all assembled, the first tutorial has started, so I’ll say farewell and be back with more tomorrow!

I love pincushions! That one is just darling! Envious of your progress on circles…but sharks, terrorists (as my hubby calls our grands…imagine!!!), and a wedding have temporarily slowed mine! Love all the inspirations!
